One to pursue carrer in Medical transcription requires good hold over English language (written) and excellent listening skills. MT Training is usually of 6 month's duration which consists of familiarizing with medical terminology and functioning of body parts. I myself had worked for 3 years as an MT and then quit. Sorry, I do not live in chennai..otherwise I would have helped u about institutions. I would recommend u to search for vendors providing home transcription on web.
